A quieter one day, we headed into Westminster after taking care of the washing and having a sleep in. Westminster Abbey was amazing, so much more than what you see at events like the wedding. Many chapels in the wings containing crypts for the past Kings and Queens. Hard to take in how old these places are.
Also visited the War Cabinet Rooms, a bunker from where Government operated during the Second World War, very interesting.
Walked through some other landmarks, Trafalgar Sq, The Strand, Pall Mall, Regent St, felt like a game of Monopoly, especially when we saw a girl with a Community Chest t-shirt on!
Finished the day with brass rubbings at St Martins on the field in Trafalgar Sq.
Finally think we have conquered the tube, even survived an emergency stop today, although Graeme nearly took out another passenger as he barreled down the aisle.
We purchased our tickets for the train to Taunton (Dorset region) to pick up the camper. Mightn't be as regular with the posts then but will try to keep up.
John & Graeme disappeared to the local for a couple of final pints before dinner again tonight.
